Swage sleeves and buttons—also called ferrules or cable crimps—are compact, swaged fittings used to terminate wire rope assemblies and create secure loop or splice connections. Swage sleeves (such as hourglass or oval designs) are crimped over a folded rope leg to form a strong return eye or lap splice. Buttons are pressed on a single straight rope end as a stop termination. These fittings are preferred over clips for permanent applications, offering higher termination efficiency, lower maintenance, and better strength retention. Swage sleeves are suitable for applications in wire railing, rigging splices, and industrial cable assemblies across marine, construction, stage rigging, and industrial sectors.
